Directional Couplers

Federal Custom Cable provides directional couplers that cover a wide range of frequencies form 0.5 - 18 GHz with 50 watts power max for the standard type and 600 watts for the high power model. Directional coupler will operate satisfactorily over the defined frequency band at a coupling ratio of 6dB up to 30dB. They operate at frequency range of 0.5-1.0 GHz, 1.0-2.0 GHz, 2.0-4.0 GHz, 2.6-5.2 GHz, 4.0-8.0 GHz, 7.0-12.4 GHz and 12.4-18.0 GHz for the standard type. As for the high power models, they operate at a frequency band of 0.5-2 GHz, 1-2 GHz, 1-4 GHz, 1-11 GHz, 1.5-4.5 GHz, 2-4 GHz, 2-8 GHz, 2.6-5.2 GHz, 4-8 GHz, 4-12 GHz, 5-11 GHz and 7-11 GHz. These four port devices meet the stringent military specs and perform with low insertion loss and high isolation. They have excellent VSWR ratio and exhibit low ripple & high directivity. They are available in SMA connectivity for the standard models, N female in & out for the high power model, and SMA for the coupled port.

Federal Custom Cable also provides miniature high performance wideband directional couplers that have SMA connectivity, lightweight, components that perform well over the multi-octave and wideband frequencies covering the entire range of 0.5-18.0 GHz frequencies. Dual directional couplers are available with the aforementioned quality & frequency range. Using these couplers will enhanced performance, lower insertion loss, increase frequency sensitivity and lower VSWR ratio.  Compared to using several individual couplers due to the to the impedance mismatches that are exhibited while using more than one coupler.
